RCBA is excited to announce that Justin Thorsteinson will be joining us as a player development coach. Throughout the season, Justin will be working with our teams to build skills and share his experience with our players.
Coach Profile-Justin Thorsteinson
Justin is a Richmond native who began his baseball journey with the Richmond City Baseball Association at age 5, playing through to age 14. He developed through the local system before advancing to high-performance baseball at both the collegiate and international levels.
He went on to play NCAA Division I baseball at Oregon State University and the University of Minnesota, competing as both a pitcher and a hitter. As a left-handed pitcher, he reached velocities of 95 mph and spent three years with the Canadian Junior National Team, representing Team Canada at international events, including the 2019 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Korea.
Now returning to RCBA, Justin is focused on helping young athletes build strong fundamentals, refine their mechanics, and translate high-level playing experience into clear, practical instruction for player development.
RCBA is proud to announce a Challenger Baseball event in Richmond on May 16th.
This is a Jay’s Care adaptive program run in partnership with Little League Canada and Baseball Canada, specifically designed to empower children, youth and adults living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. The following PDFs have information about the program and how to sign up.
